Douglas MacArthur President
Education: Honours Masters in Economics Program,
McMaster University; Bachelor of Arts (Economics), UPEI
Experience: Douglas MacArthur’s work background is focused on finance,
economics, and marketing, both domestic and international. He also
has an interest and credentials relating to arts and culture from
the 1970’s to his involvement today in the development and culture
of islands around the world. From 1995 - 2000, Doug was involved
mainly in the Japan marketplace, the most demanding market in the
world. This period taught him how to deliver world-class service
and quality in all work performed by the company. The skills Doug
MacArthur brings to a project are a strong background in the business
side (e.g. financing, marketing, economics, organizational structure,
role of technology); strong communications skills and a commitment
to keep the client well and regularly informed so there are no surprises;
ability to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information; excellent
networks within Atlantic Canada and beyond; work experience on site
in more than 40 countries; ability to write well; commitment to
provide outstanding quality at lowest possible cost to the client.
Doug MacArthur is also President of the Canadian
Agro-Sustainability Partnership (CASP).

Jeff MacArthur Vice President - Technology, Communications & Culture
Education: Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (core
of MBA), Simon Fraser University; Masters of Science (Computing
Science), Simon Fraser University; Bachelor of Arts (Computer Science/Math),
McGill University; and courses at Vancouver Film School.
Experience: After completing graduate programs in both Computer Science and Business Administration, Jeff MacArthur has led a variety of projects focused on technology, culture, and business management. He has worked for some of the most cutting-edge technology companies on the planet (interactive software leader Electronic Arts and Smithsonian-inducted Mainframe Entertainment) and is co-developer of Canada’s most watched video podcast, commandN. Jeff has also been an active participant in the cultural industries, from music management to performances in the Atlantic and Vancouver International Jazz Festivals to sitting on the board of the Music Industry Association of Nova Scotia, as well production work for television and video. In addition to this, Jeff has had a wealth of international experience, including producing a video documentary of tsunami reconstruction efforts in Sri Lanka, acting as technology lead on trade missions to Russia and Serbia, and with project work relating to Kenya, Japan, and Paraguay.

Victor Petrescu Manager (Ottawa)
Education: Masters of Economic Sciences, Academy of Economic Sciences of Bucharest, Romania
Experience: Multilingual (English, Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian;
working capability in French, Spanish, and German) economist with
considerable experience in research projects, market research, and
marketing; policy development and program implementation; purchasing
and procurement; project facilitation and development; project management;
import/export; viability studies; hospitality industry, training
projects. Experience with projects financed by international organizations
such as the World Bank and Canadian International Development Agency.

David Boyce Director of Environmental Services (Charlottetown)
Education: Bachelor of Business Administration, Acadia University, Wolfville, NS; Finfish husbandry, Canadian Aquaculture Institute, Charlottetown, PEI; Sustainable Tourism, Université de Moncton, NB; PADI Certified Diver
Experience: David Boyce is the Director of Environmental Services for CASP. He has 17 years of project management experience in the environmental field related to work in the agriculture, fisheries, solid waste management, water quality, habitat conservation, and integrated coastal zone management fields both domestically and internationally.
David has worked as the on-site project manager for CASP Sri Lanka operations overseeing the management of local staff; liaising with government, industry and NGOs; and preparation and delivery of the multi-sectoral Master Plan for the long-term development of Ampara District. He has also managed projects in China on the environmental impacts and education for agriculture projects in three provinces, and in the Maldives conducting a scoping mission for developing small scale agriculture to offset food imports to the resort community.
He has a strong background and a twelve year history in community-based collaborative efforts and capacity building which includes volunteer monitoring and reporting programs, training and education initiatives working collaboratively between industry, NGOs and government on a local, regional and national level.
David has served with numerous government committees including the PEI Waste Management Commission (2 years as Chair), the Canadian Heritage Rivers Board, the EcoAction Public Advisory Committee and the Regional Advisory Council on Oil Spill Preparedness.

Amber MacArthur Manager (Toronto)
Education: Bachelor of Journalism, University of King's College
School of Journalism; BA (English), Dalhousie University
Experience: After working as a reporter at CBC-TV Charlottetown
Amber moved to San Francisco to work as a Senior Copywriter and
Branding Expert at Razorfish, a leading interactive media consulting
agency (Razorfish is a publicly-traded company). While at Razorfish
Amber created online marketing and branding strategies for clients
such as Cisco, McKinsey Consulting, Chemdex, Documentum, and Nexstar
Financial. Following Amber's experience at Razorfish she took on
the role of Director of Marketing & Communications at HigherMarkets,
a venture-backed software and services firm serving the higher education
market (HigherMarkets was acquired by publicly-traded firm Sciquest
in 2002). While at HigherMarkets Amber led design and development
of all marketing collateral, public relations campaigns, online
learning courses, and online newsletters. She also coordinated
all company tradeshows and events. Most recently Amber completed
a six-month online marketing strategy for the largest educational
buying cooperative, E&I Cooperative, in the United States. Her
other media experience includes an internship with The California
Report at KQED San Francisco, which is the largest NPR affiliate
in California. The California Report is a statewide news magazine
program that provides daily coverage of issues, trends, and public
policy decisions affecting California. While in San Francisco she
also worked as a Webby Judge, reviewing and rating more than 100
Web sites for the Webby Awards 2000. Upon moving back to Canada, Amber was Web Strategy Manager
at Microsoft Home Magazine. Amber currently works as
MacArthur Group's Toronto Manager and is a host on G4TechTV's
Call for Help and Torrent.
